PROENGLISH MEETS VICE PRESIDENT MIKE PENCE

ProEnglish recently had the opportunity to meet directly with former Vice President Mike Pence.

Vice President Pence was a 5-time cosponsor of the English Language Unity Act when he was a member of Congress from Indiana. At the recent meeting, ProEnglish was able to update the Vice President about the current status of the English Language Unity Act, and to advocate that he include official English as a part of his policy platform if he decides to run for President in 2024.

Vice President Pence has spoken about the importance of promoting the patriotic assimilation of immigrants through the immigration and naturalization process. He also has spoken about the importance of promoting patriotic education. Official English, combined with English language immersion classes in public schools, will accomplish these objectives.
