U.S. Rep. Andrew Clyde Becomes 21st Cosponsor of H.R. 1772

ProEnglish is excited to announce that Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA-9) recently signed on as the 21st cosponsor of H.R. 1772, a bill that would codify English as our official language of government operations.

ProEnglish has been actively generating support for this bill since it was first introduced by Rep. Robert Aderholt in March of 2025.

Rep. Clyde is the seventh member of the Georgia delegation to cosponsor this bill, which is the state with the most cosponsors to date.

As our Rasmussen poll shows, Official English is a popular policy supported by the majority of the American people. It would also help save billions per year in costly translations, and would foster a greater sense of civic unity.

We need to keep building support and generating momentum for this important piece of legislation. Please visit our action center and send a message to your member of Congress asking them to support H.R. 1772.
