Tulsa Beacon Column Promotes Absentee Ballots Only In English

The Tulsa (OK) Beacon recently published a column by Robert McDowell in which he advocated for absentee ballots printed only in English, and in which he further noted how pleased he was to see that his most recent absentee ballots that he received in the mail included instructions that were written only in English.

McDowell noted in his column: “To my complete and satisfying surprise, in this 2018 runoff absentee ballot, on the inside envelope (the one into which the marked ballots go), the instructions were only in English. Finally, someone woke up to the wastefulness and ignorance of having the foreign language instructions present.”
