Official English Bill Gains Seven Cosponsors
The English Language Unity Bill (H.R. 997) is gaining momentum in Congress!
As of today, seven members of Congress (Rep. Collins, Doug [R-GA-9], Rep. Gohmert, Louie [R-TX-1], Rep. Barletta, Lou [R-PA-11], Rep. Duncan, Jeff [R-SC-3], Rep. Franks, Trent [R-AZ-8], Rep. Massie, Thomas [R-KY-4], Rep. Jones, Walter B., Jr. [R-NC-3]) have cosponsored H.R. 997.
If enacted, the English Language Unity Bill would make English the official language of the Federal Government. Congressman Steve King was the original sponsor of the bill.
