Ninety-two percent of the world’s countries have at least one official language.
It's time to add the United States to that list.
When new arrivals aren’t learning English, it leads to separate language enclaves. Communities end up divided, with fewer shared institutions and less interaction.
Making English the official language helps prevents this kind of fragmentation.
