Take Action: Tell Your Members to Support H.R. 1772 and S.542

Momentum is building in Congress to finally make English the official language of the United States.

The Designation of English as the Official Language of the United States Act of 2025, or H.R. 1772 , was introduced by Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-AL) in March of 2025. The English Language Unity Act, or S.542, was introduced by Senator Bernie Moreno (R-OH). Since their introduction, these bills have gained numerous cospoinsers.

Passage of S.542 in the Senate, as well as H.R. 1772 in the House, will save Americans billions of dollars in current, government-mandated translation and interpretation costs, and also will encourage cultural and linguistic assimilation by new arrivals to our nation. A recent Rasmussen poll commissioned by ProEnglish shows 73% of Americans support making English the official language of government operations.

But we need your help. For this cause to gain traction in Congress, we need you to contact your members and tell them to cosponsor these efforts to make English our official language!
