ProEnglish Remembers Senator James Inhofe
ProEnglish remembers and honors the memory of Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK), who recently passed away.
Sen. Inhofe was a staunch supporter of official English legislation in Congress, and for many years he was the chief sponsor of the English Language Unity Act in the United States Senate.
In 2006, the U.S. Senate passed legislation proposed by Sen. Inhofe to designate English as the national language of the country.
Inhofe stated at the time that making English the national language was needed for “preserving our culture and heritage.”
ProEnglish worked very closely with Sen. Inhofe and his aides over many years.
ProEnglish extends its deepest condolences to Sen. Inhofe’s family.
We will always cherish the memory of our friend, Sen. James Inhofe.
